Why This Exists
I've been in the fueling equipment installation and repair industry my entire life — starting when I was 13. My father started his company working on 7-Eleven gas dispensers after his boss was killed in a vehicle accident. I was in 3rd grade. He was adamant about my brother and I working at a young age. We completed our first aboveground tank install the summer before 7th grade.
I created this tool because I know how frustrating it is to sit down with a stack of downloaded PDFs without knowing exactly what to focus on. I have personally taken the MDE certification exam 5 or 6 times and am intimately familiar with what's on it. I was both an MDE Certified Inspector and Technician. I personally went through every source document and made sure that what is actually on the exam is in this tool.
This would have saved me a lot of time and money — including the couple of times I failed. I know we would have much rather purchased a subscription to this than paid $450–$800 for a 2 or 3 day course that doesn't even give you the actual questions and answers.
How to Use This Tool

Select your exam track at the top — UST Technician, UST Remover, or UST Inspector. All content filters to that certification.

Start with Flashcards. These are the best place to begin — quick, focused, and built directly from the exact material on the exam. Flip through them repeatedly until the answers feel automatic.

Move to Practice Quiz once you're comfortable with the flashcards. Questions are drawn randomly from the full pool. You can skip around if needed, and after each answer you'll see the correct answer, explanation, and the exact source reference.

Take the Practice Exam when you feel ready. It mirrors the real test — 75 questions, 90 minutes, 90% to pass. Keep working at it until you're consistently hitting 90%.

Use the Document Filter (top right of the tab bar) to drill specific source documents. Know you're solid on COMAR 26.10 but weak on PEI RP100? Filter to just RP100 and focus there. This is one of the most powerful features in the tool.
